After 36 years of having started a journey in the world of electricity and then in energy, I started to think about how to share my lessons learned and thus collaborate in the construction of a better society using the communication spaces of a blog.
As a child I dreamed of being an astronaut, which reflected my fascination for technology and observation, I was curious about everything, – and I had little access to many explanations because my childhood was in the 80’s-; at some point I wondered, how come when you press a button the lights in the house turn off? And that’s how I began to explore electricity.
It reinforced my curiosity and inspiration to observe my grandfather Juan, who repaired transistor radios and while doing so he told me his stories, one of them was how he learned to handle transistor technology, – he went to some workshops at the school of arts and crafts in his time and then learned by distance learning method with a magazine that he subscribed to which was sent from Mexico, he learned in a self-taught way, the old version of the «bootcamps online» as developers and programmers learn today.
I developed the conviction that energy is a means to achieve higher goals such as the welfare of humanity, and now I would like to talk and collaborate to achieve it.
In these days I discovered that the energy transition is a concept that encompasses the search for objectives towards conditions of common welfare and allows to organize the discussion, global warming reduction, responsible investments, technological development, public goods, social rights, economic principles, finance, regulation, human talent, project management, among others.
The energy sector in Guatemala is thriving and modern, for more than 15 years I welcomed as an entrepreneur and participate in it, I think it is worth giving something back to society from the energy sector. Enough motivations and subjects to do it in a collaborative space, that’s what the blog is for.
