Considering that the electrical industry is evolving, I invite senior professionals to generate a legacy for emerging professionals in the industry by actively commenting on the thesis work of professionals graduating from universities and giving them the vision of industry members.
A few weeks ago I read a message on a social network of a young professional in the energy sector who, full of joy, shared and celebrated that he had obtained his university degree with academic excellence, but at the same time regretted that what he studied had no application in our latitudes and he had to wait for the industry to evolve and for companies to adopt technology and thus have access to employment.
I made the task of reading the curriculum of his career and found that it was adequately designed for the challenges in the coming industry: automation, energy transition, massive data management, autonomy of power grids and management with remote access, among others.
The young professional was disconnected from the real industry, I happen to be developing a venture that considers the key training that he studied!
I reflected that we can contribute to connect the generations of current senior professionals with the emerging leading professionals, a kind of connection of the mature professional world with the young, of the industry with the academy; from there came the idea of motivating senior professionals to mentor the emerging ones by collaborating with them and commenting on their undergraduate theses to incorporate the industry experience, and also the industry professionals are refreshed with the new things that the students are learning.
I’ve set out to do the pilot project for a show and tell and tell them the story.
